Angie Smith Congleton, 68, of Morehead City, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her home.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
Angie was born and raised in Carteret County and spent almost her entire life here. She was a free spirit that was known for her dancing and poetry. She enjoyed many forms of art and was a devout Christian despite not having a consistent home church.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Walters Lewis and her longtime boyfriend, Keith Fick, of Newport; son, Scott Walters of Beaufort; sister, Correna Smith Gooding of Savannah, GA, Ola Mae Briles and husband, Ronald, of Topping, VA, Peggy Smith Caddell of Newport; sister-in-law, Belva Manning of Morehead City; grandchildren, Michael Lewis, Jonathan Fick, Brittanie Fick, Brandon Fick; great-grandchildren, Khalia Lewis, Khamony Lewis; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Wyona Smith; brother, Ralph Smith, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Tommy Gooding.
