On January 29, 2018, Angela F Bell was reunited with the love of her life, Harry S Bell. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family while her daughter was holding her hand. Angela, who was known by Jean, was ready for her final passage home.
Born in West Virginia, she lived most of her life in North Carolina. Jean grew up in a large family, the sixth of 12 children. She is remembered by her siblings as someone who was studious and loved to read. She would read anything, even the encyclopedia if she had nothing else. Growing up she was known to be loving and kind, traits that stuck with her for life. She lived a selfless life, always in the service of others. There wasn’t a person who walked through her door that wasn’t offered a cold drink or something to eat.
Professionally, Jean worked in several pharmacies before retiring to help Harry in his cabinet shop full time. After Harry passed she began working as a care giver, continuing to serve others in need. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She leaves behind eight siblings, Madeline, Marjorie, Carl, Nellie, Patricia, William, Nancy, and Anthony. She also leaves three children, Edwin, Deborah, and David. Jean had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Jean was predeceased by her youngest son Daniel, her loving husband Harry, her brother Robert, and two sisters, Bonnie and Rose.
Family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the atrium at First United Methodist Church in Morehead City.
