Andrew King Silvia, Sr., 88, of Gloucester, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his home with family.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Mr. Silvia was a veteran of the US Navy. He loved tinkering with cars and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Beatrice Ferriera Silvia of the home; two children Andrew King Silvia, Jr., and wife JoAnn of Gloucester, and Ann Marie Charette and husband Carleton of Gloucester; eight grandchildren Lisa Rozier, Lisa Montgomery, John LaChapelle, Jesse Cloutier, Carol Ann Weckesser, Andrew K. Silvia, III, Wade K. Silvia, and Randy S. Milam; fourteen great grandchildren Matthew, Garrett, Cassidy, Lindsey, Courtney, Emily, Laura, Gabrielle, Jennifer, Kira, Brogan, Shelby, Wyatt, and Shaynna; three sisters Dorothy Arsenalt, Lorraine Silvia, and Charlotte Daily: and a great great grandchild Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Rose Silvia, two daughters Linda Dingman, and Rosemary Holland, and a grandson Russell Russell.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
