Andrew S. Griffith, 91, of Seminole, FL, formerly of Morehead City, NC, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at Seminole Pavillion Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Morehead City.
Mr. Griffith served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Romeos Club of Morehead City. He was very active as a Ham Radio Operator in the area and his call letters were W4ULD.
He is survived by his daughter, Anne S. Martello and husband James of Seminole, FL; three sons, Jerry P. Griffith and wife Ramita of Seminole, FL, Steven L. Griffith and wife Brenda of Alpharetta, GA, and James A. Griffith and wife Kimberly of Collierville, TN; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Griffith, parents, Andrew and Annie Powell Griffith, and brother, Franklin Powell Griffith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home. There will be a reception 3:00-5:00 at Country Club of Crystal Coast 152 Oakleaf Dr. Pine Knoll Shores.
