Amanda was born on December 31, 1985, in Toms River, New Jersey. She moved to Virginia at the age of 4. She graduated from Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2004 where she was a 3-sport athlete, competing in basketball, softball and volleyball. Amanda loved sports her entire life.
She attended Lynchburg College, where she excelled as a college volleyball player and set school records. After completing her education, she followed her desire for real estate, eventually becoming the proud owner of High Tide Property Group, where she made a lasting impact in the community.
In 2010, Amanda and her devoted husband Zeph relocated to Eastern North Carolina, where they built a beautiful life together. She loved nothing better than being on the water and searching for the perfect seashell. Amanda’s greatest joy was watching her son, Matthew, play basketball. She was his biggest fan, always cheering him on from the sidelines. Amanda also cherished her 2 golden retrievers, Skipper and Belle, who loved her faithfully to the end.
Amanda will be deeply missed by all her friends and loved ones. To know her was to love her. Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh were a treasure to all who knew her. She was a bright light in all of our lives.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Zeph of the home; her son, Matthew Crittenden of the home; her mother, Kimberly Walsh of Forest, VA; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Linda Walsh, of Lynchburg, VA, sisters, Nicole Williams (Josh) of Amherst, VA, and Melanie DeFilippo of Forest, VA, her father, Robert DeFilippo of Forest, VA, a niece Alexa Williams of Amherst, VA and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
