Alvin retired from the US Navy after twenty years of service.
He is survived by his wife Alice M. Willis of Otway; one daughter Joyce Lou Willis of Beaufort; and four sons Bruce Willis of Atlantic Beach, William T. Willis, Sr., of Otway, David Michael Willis of Otway, and Carl Robert Willis of Bettie.
