Alton Ray Rouse, 64, of Newport, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park with military honors.
Alton started working in the family business after serving in the US Air Force and before retiring he owned and operated Alton's Contract Service, Inc.
He is survived by his wife Wren Hines Rouse of the home; a daughter Kristie R. Culpepper and husband Charles; stepchildren Rick Hines and wife Tammy, Shane Gipson and wife Alison, Carla Hales and husband Jeff; mother Deaver Rouse McNeil; three sisters Linda Hines and husband Bo, Janice Bryant and husband Snuffy, and Diane Lewis and husband Buddy; and eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Alton "Pete" C. Rouse, and a brother Billy Rouse.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home.
