Al Pease, 84, of Mitchell Harbour, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Cherry Point Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service to honor Al’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 6th at Gethsemane Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Jim Hendrix.
Al was born on August 21, 1939, in San Francisco, California, to the late Lester and Katherine Pease. He received his education at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Naturally creative, analytical, and with a quest to solve problems, Al enjoyed his successful engineering career in the computer field. After his schooling, Al honorably served as an officer in the United States Army.
Al was a child of God. He's moved from his earthly body which had been aging for quite some time to his heavenly body, a new and glorious one. How could that happen? Al accepted Christ as his personal savior at age 16 at a church youth group. He realized that he was a sinner and raised his hand acknowledging his need for Christ. At that time, Christ came into his life, and he became a child of God. Like a child, he's been growing ever since in his walk with Jesus. In recent years, he's enjoyed teaching small groups in the church and helping individuals in their walk with the Lord. If you've not accepted Christ, then do it by telling Him that you've messed up in life and that you want Him to come into your life and take control.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Pease; son, Scott Pease and wife Laura of California, along with their children, Davis Pease of Denver, Colorado, and Ashlyn Hall and husband R.J. and their son Fisher Hall, all of California; son, Kevin Pease and wife Jocelyn and their children, Andy Pease and Lilly Pease, all of New Hill, NC; and his siblings, Carol Wall and husband Gordon and Don Pease, all of California.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his son, Brett Pease.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Cherry Branch Community Church Building Fund, 1490 Ferry Road, Havelock, NC 28532.
