Alice Estelle (Harrison) Taylor

Alice Harrison Taylor, 83, of Morehead City, formerly of New Bern, died Friday, Septmeber 12, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Broad Creek Church of God with Pastor Daylan Mooneyham, and Rev. Robbie Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She was a member of Broad Creek Church of God.
She is survived by three sons, Kevin Harrison Newman and wife Janet of Chesterfield, VA, Kenneth Eugene Newman and wife Natasha of Hartsville, SC, and Frederick Wayne Taylor of Newport; two daughters, Karen Newman Strive and husband Jim of Stokesdale, and Kristi Karyl Newman Holden and husband Vander of Hubert; brother, Robert Harry Harrison of New Bern; one sister Linda Jean Ipock and husband Frank of New Bern; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by former husband, Kenneth W.L. Newman, second husband, Sam Elbert Smith, third husband, Fred Wallace Taylor, parents, Stonewall "Jack" and Ida Harrison, and brothers, Benjamin Franklin Harrison and Ernest Lee Harrison.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to Broad Creek Church of God Mission Fund, 394 Broad Creek Loop Rd. Newport, NC 28570.
