Alice Spencer, 83, of Newport, died Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Harborview Nursing Home.
A graveside service will be held 11:00am Tuesday at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Lindblade officiating.
She is survived by her daughters Gwen Spencer McQueen and husband Bill of Wilmington, NC, and Nancy Spencer Mason and husband Ed of Newport, NC; sons Marvin E. Spencer III and wife Linda of Beaufort, NC, and Louis G. Spencer and wife Aynsley of Charlotte, NC; brother Louis Knudsen of Council Bluff, Iowa; four grandchildren, Stephanie Turner of San Diego, California, Rachel Lewis of Greenville, NC, Jennifer Gibbs of Morehead City, and Marvin E. Spencer IV of Key West, Florida, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Earl Spencer, Jr.
The family will receive friends 9:30am to 10:30am at Munden Funeral Home, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Anne Street United Methodist Church, Beaufort, NC.
