Alfred Delany Smith

Alfred D. "Allen" Smith, 69, of Morehead City, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday at Bayview Cemetery with Rev. Goodnight officiating.
Mr. Alfred served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and was a mechanic for 40 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Douglass Ann Smith Hansen of Newport, Vida Kay Cobrusso of Jacksonville, and Toni Loretta Almond of Newport; three grandchildren and one greatgrandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kernie and Naomi Lewis Smith, a brother, William A. Smith and a son, Alan Douglas Smith, Jr..
The family will receive friends following the service at 358 White Oak Drive in Newport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd, Frisco, TX 75034.
