Alexsander Salter Day, 41, of Morehead City, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Carolina East Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 27th, at Stacy Community Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Johnny Thompson. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, August 26th, at Munden Funeral Home.
Alexsander was born on July 21, 1981, in Londrina, Brazil. During his high school years, he thrived on the soccer field where he enjoyed his team at West Carteret High School. Growing up on the Crystal Coast, Alexsander loved spending time on the boat with his brother and son. He was an avid fisherman who loved the peacefulness of the sport along with the challenge.
He leaves behind his son, Dayton Day and Dayton's mother Jamie Bises Day of Newport; mother, Barbara Day of Stacy; father, Warren Phillip Day of Havelock; brother, Eberson Day of Newport and Barry Day of Morehead City; aunts and uncles, Terry Bruce and Walt Bruce, both of California, Chester Salter of Otway, Anthony and Laura Salter of Sea Level, Mike Day (Phyllis) of Arizona, Mark Day (Dorothy) of Bryson City, Robert Day (Donna) of Havelock; and Hervie Day of Havelock, and Clarice Arthur (Johnnie) of Stacy; and numerous loving cousins.
Alexsander was preceded in death by his son, Alexis Day; grandparents, Major and Evelyn Salter; uncles, Gary Salter and Daniel Day; grandfather, Virgil Day; grandmother, Stella Jean Day; and cousin, Tajh Bruce.
