Alexis M. D’Amico, 16, of Grantfork, IL and formerly of St. Jacob, IL and Trenton, IL, died Monday, September 1, 2014 in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Ms. D’Amico was born May 15, 1998 in Belleville, IL to Vicky (Smith) and Dante D’Amico, Jr.; her mother survives in Nashville, NC and her father survives in Grantfork, IL.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by brothers, Eric D’Amico of Raleigh, NC, Joshua Stroder of St. Louis, MO, and Jonathan Stroder of Colorado Springs, CO; maternal grandfather, Robert Smith, Sr. of Newport.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Beulah (Rhue) Smith; paternal grandparents, Louise (Careri) and Dante D’Amico, Sr.; and an uncle, Robert Smith, Jr.
Alexis currently was a junior at Highland High School in Highland, IL and was a member of The Pentecostals of Troy, Troy, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bob Lowery officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Brain Injury Association of America.
