Albert "Buddy" Clinton Murdoch, Jr.

Albert “Buddy” Clinton Murdoch, Jr. , 83, of Newport, went to be with the Lord,  Saturday, March 3, 2018 surrounded by his family.

His funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Wildwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robbie Phillips officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Mr. Murdoch retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge in Newport, and the Shriners in New Bern.

He is survived by his wife, Carol K. Murdoch of the home; daughters, Donella May Patterson and Earl Dale Patterson of Lavalette, WV and Cynthia Ellen Stokely and Robert M. Stokely of Wilson; sons, Steven Murdoch and Sherard Lewis and Scott Albert Murdoch all of Newport; brothers, Ed Murdoch of Wildwood, William Murdoch of Newport and Mac Murdoch of Wildwood; sister, Margaret Bell of Newport;  and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edna Murdoch.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wildwood Presbyterian Church.
