Albert "Al" Stanley Fleming

Albert “Al” Stanley Fleming, 86, of Morehead City, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday April 24, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel, Morehead City with Pastor David Jones officiating.

Al was the owner of Fleming’s Garage and Fleming’s Transportation for over 30 years in West Portal, NJ.  Al served as a volunteer firefighter for over 52 years with the Bloomsbury Hose Co. #1 in New Jersey where he was also a Mason for over 50 years.  He was a member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, the Chamber of Commerce, the VFW and a past President of the local AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie Fleming of the home; sons, Doug Fleming and wife Nancy of Cedar Point, NC and Brian Fleming and wife Ginny of Easton, PA; brothers, Edward Fleming of Pattenburg, NJ, Eugene Fleming of Califon, NJ and Stanley Fleming Jr., of Flemington, NJ; sisters, Joan Azzalina of Leesburg, FL and Judy Drexler of Bath, PA; 4 grandchildren, Brian Fleming, Jr., Pamela Byrd, Kristin Fleming and Ashely Fasulo; and 6 great-grandchildren, Alexa Fleming, Michael Byrd, Joshua Byrd, Brady Dionne, Anna Byrd and Grant Fasulo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Alta Smith Fleming.
