Alane Frost Grantham

Sidney “Alane” Frost Grantham, 80, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Reece’s Chapel Baptist Church in Newport with Rev. Winkie Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Born in Salter Path, NC in Carteret County, Alane graduated from Morehead City High School. She worked at Frost Seafood House in Salter Path for many, many years. If you knew Alane, you knew her family was her life. She lived each day to see the joy in her family and loved ones. She was a hard worker and would do anything for anybody. She was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord and shared her love with everyone.
Her family would like to thank each person who loved, prayed and helped; she fought a long hard fight and we know that she is finally at peace and rejoicing. We will have a huge void in our lives as we were blessed with the best Ma, Grandma, and Great Grandma, and we cherish each memory we have.
Alane is survived by her daughter, Sheila B. Salter and husband Robert of Salter Path; step children, Jim Grantham and Lynn Grantham; grandsons, Romie Salter and wife Cheryl of Salter Path, Robbie Salter and fiancé Lindsay Pope, and Ashley Grantham; great grandson, Connor, who was her pride and joy; brother, Henry Frost and wife Margie of Salter Path; sister in laws, Maude Frost of Beaufort and Alberta Frost of Sarasota, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Grantham; son, Robert W. Bruce; daughter, Tina B. Perdue; parents, Rushie and Callie (Willis) Frost; brothers, William “Sweetie” Frost, Floyd Frost, R.T. Frost Jr., and Tye Frost.
The family will welcome friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Reece’s Chapel.
