Alan S. Millis, 47, of Newport, died Tuesday January 3, at Carteret General Hospital.
The service will be at 11:00 am Saturday January 7, at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Susan Lindblade officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
He attended St. James UMC and was employed with the civil service at Cherry Point.
He is survived by his wife Bernadette Wawrzyniak Millis of the home: a daughter Janina Millis of the home, a son Benjamin Millis of the home: two brothers Yates Millis of Newport, and Jeff Millis of Newport: and a sister Alice Millis of Newport.
He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Marie Millis and a sister Bobbie Schoonover.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
