Aimee Edwards Batten

Aimee Edwards Batten, 45, of Clayton and recently Marshallberg, NC, passed away unexpectedly, at her home Friday, October 5, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the Marshallberg Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor, Dr. Randy Moore. Family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the Leigh Batten home in Stella, NC.

Aimee graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in Swanton VT, class of 1991 and later attended the University of Texas, in San Antonio, TX.  As well as being a home maker, she was employed for many years as a bookkeeper and secretary. Aimee was a much-loved wife, mother, daughter and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Neil Batten of Marshallberg; son Tyler Sharrock of Clayton, NC; daughters, Shayna and Alyssa “Al’’ Batten of Marshallberg; parents, John and Deanna Edwards, of Swanton, VT; sisters, Jennifer and Wendy Fuller of VT; brothers, Jonathan Edwards (Bonnie) of Florida, Matthew Fuller (Bryna) of NC and Jeffrey Fuller of VT. She leaves grandsons Zander and Hendrix Sharrock along with many nieces and nephews in North Carolina, Florida and Vermont. In addition, she leaves much loved in-laws, LD and Ellen Batten.

In 1981 she was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lacoste Edwards.
