Agnes Wynn, 87, of Havelock, NC peacefully passed away on February 17, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband James Wynn and sisters Joyce Lang and Joan Lang.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 at Annunciation Catholic Church followed by burial at Forest Oaks Memorial Park, Havelock, NC.
Agnes was born February 28, 1930 in Ft. Lee, New Jersey to the late Leonard and Agnes Lang. Because of her sweet nature, Agnes was affectionately known to many as “Honey.” Agnes graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hackensack, NJ. She married the late James T Wynn on March 26, 1953. Agnes and James raised their three sons while James served in the United States Marine Corps, living in Connecticut, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Agnes worked as bookkeeper at Annunciation Catholic Church for twenty-six years before retiring July 16, 2002. She was active in the Altar & Rosary Society at Annunciation Catholic Church and sang with the Havelock Community Choir, Annunciation Choir, The Messiah, and Craven Community Chorus.
Agnes is survived by her three sons, James (Linda) Wynn of Havelock, Tom (Victoria Thall) Wynn of Bridgeton, and Patrick (Beth) Wynn of New Bern. Agnes leaves behind three grandchildren, Thomas Wynn (Melinda) of Wilmington, NC, Trent Wynn of Wingate, NC, and Alison Wynn of Raleigh, NC. Agnes is also survived by her brother Leonard Lang, of Washington Township, NJ, niece Sheila Graziano, of Hawthorne, NJ, nephews Chris Lang, of River Vale, NJ, Michael Lang, of Washington Township, NJ, and special extended family members Jenna Graziano, Hawthorne, NJ, Joseph Graziano, Hawthorne, NJ, Tiffany Belote, Havelock, NC, and Samantha Thall, Chapel Hill, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
