A.C. Davis

A.C. Davis, 79, of Gloucester, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

A memorial service to honor A.C.’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 23^rd at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Dena White.

A.C.  was born on June 11, 1944, in Williston, NC, to the late Donnie and Reta Davis. He was a dedicated firefighter at Cherry Point for many years, always ensuring the safety of others. In addition to his commitment to duty, he found joy in his carpentry work. A.C. could be found in his shop tinkering away. He also enjoyed collecting decoys.

One of his other hobbies was his love of the great outdoors, whether on the water fishing or in the woods hunting. A.C. was the true definition of a great friend and an even better family man. He cherished spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. A.C. leaves behind memories that will be held close to the hearts of all he touched.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kandice Smith Davis of the home; daughter, Sharon Davis Sharp (Vaughn) of Gloucester; grandchildren, Cooper Stanley of Gloucester, and Mackenzie Stanley (Darius Collins Jr.) of Raleigh; niece, Lynn Houle (Mark); many friends and other family members.

In addition to his parents, A.C. was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Gray Davis, and Lambert Davis; sisters, Peggy Parker, and Marguerite Benedict.
